LA-based band Marjorie Fair is gearing up to make a splash behind their new album I Am My Own Rainbow (out now on Psychic Bully Records). We are thrilled to premiere their first video for the mesmerizing track “Save Time.”
We had alot of fun recording this track. This particular song is among the most orchestrated on the record, combining organic and traditional elements with some more experimental tones. It’s sort of a drone track, but I think it somehow captures the essence of the whole record as well or better than any of the others. The video was a blast to make as well. We shot it ourselves, mostly utilizing the building in which our studio is housed. The hallways and corridors have alot of character and just seemed to fit the vibe of the tune. We were really intent on incorporating the mural which makes up the cover of the album within the video as well. It all seemed to unfold very organically, and our editor Kevin Ferreira was able to bring it all home by adding some visual effects and making it all flow.
