Gabrielle Marlena wrote her new EP Easier Love during her cross country tour following the release of her debut album in August of last year. She booked the tour herself and drove across 13,000 miles on her own to play 25 shows in 21 different states – all in 36 days! Easier Love really showcases Gabrielle’s low vocals and simple, yet impactful, melodies. It speaks of loneliness on the road, but quickly moves into feelings of independence and persistence as she powers through major setbacks – including totaling her car.  “Easier Love” is raw, open, and honest. We don’t often see songs this open and genuine, and when we do, we should wrap our arms around them. What a truly memorable song.

In her own words:

“Easier Love” is about someone I told myself I would never write another song about. But the problem was… I took my first relationship, turned it into an album, put my ex’s face on the cover, and distributed it in the form of canvas tote bags, T-shirts, mugs, and CDs all over the country. While I was on tour, sometimes I would fall back into the emotions I was singing about. I snapped back to the present as soon as I called him.”
