Leah Kate, an independent Pop artist based out of NYC via LA is on a quest to stand out in the over-saturated pop market and make her mark. Her first single, “I See You” is a pop-centric track that explores Flume-like synths, hard hitting drums, and even tropical dance-hall elements underlying her knack for singable hooks. Today we’re thrilled to premiere the acoustic version of the track, which strips down the track and adds an undeniable depth and intensity. We’re excited for you to hear this one!

In her own words:

When I wrote this song it came from a sad and darker place from what I was going through. When I finished writing for my upcoming EP that song stuck out as a first single for me as I knew I wanted my first unveiling of my music to be something vibey and fun.  I also wanted  my listeners to have a great time to… even though the lyrics came from a not so fun of a place. I felt that  by doing an acoustic version it would peel back the raw emotion of the song and it would showcase a darker/pop acoustic version to which I felt was very necessary as it exposes the tone and meaning  of the lyrics and song.
